I am a graduate of The Soma Institute, also known as" The National School of Clinical Massage Therapy". As a Massage Therapist I can say I LOVE WHAT I DO! Prior to going back to school I was doing operations management for a marketing company for about 4 years. I wasn't too happy at this job and lied to myself by reminding myself, that "hey, this job pays the bills." I would wake up in the middle of the night dreading production deadlines and the owners. When I realized it was a repeating pattern I asked myself, Is this all there is to "LIFE"? Once I confirmed to myself that I was in a negative environment that stressed out my lifestyle, I knew change was needed before I became a negative person. Thats when I learned that negativity is like a disease and will consume you if you're around it consistently, whether it be people or surroundings with high stress levels. After a few weeks of looking into options I also decided I was not going to take any verbal abuse from my Bosses. I quit my job when I got thrown under a bus over something I had no control over. I re-connected with one of my friends' dads and had told me that his younger son was a massage therapist at a hospital. I thought "WOW" a Massage Therapist in a Hospital? I signed up for Clinical Massage Therapy the next week. After having over 20 jobs in my life at the age of 24, I said to myself "Here we go again". I never imagined how this step would change my life forever and help me evolve in so many ways. So here I am 8 years later providing treatments in a positive environment that I look forward to everyday. I know as Massage Therapists we can help in so many ways.
